Why isn't PommeToys on the Mac App Store?
PommeToys changes system-wide window and scrolling behavior. Those features need permissions that the App Store sandbox does not allow. PommeToys is therefore distributed directly; release builds are signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple.
Does PommeToys collect my data?
Your usage data stays on your Mac: PommeToys has no analytics, ads, or accounts. Trial and license checks send a pseudonymous device identifier, and purchases are handled by Paddle. The privacy policy explains exactly what is sent and why.
How many computers can one license key be used on?
Two. Use your desktop and laptop at the same time — or keep the second seat for your next Mac.
Can I move a license to another Mac?
Enter the same key on the new Mac. If both seats are taken, the app lists them — release the old one right there and activation carries on. The old Mac doesn't need to be to hand, and there's no limit on how often you move.
What do updates cost?
Every 1.x update is free, including the compatibility work for each year's new macOS. If we ever release PommeToys 2, existing customers upgrade at half price.
